The Tokyo resident Kazayuki Yamada began an artist career after leaving commercial photography business in 2014. Creating books and magazine in small run (1 to 3 copies) with artificial signs of the passing time often pushed to the limit. The objectification and particularly the physical state of it are a dominant trait of its work.
“Once in a corner” depicts these inreproducible moments clustered in a small publication. Even if the content is identical for the twenty-five copies, the aspect resulting of the craftsmanship skills of the artist is different on each copy.
The artist by artificially damageing the collection of moments, pushes the life of the medium and its damaged beauty at the first level of appreciation.
